For inspired artists of all levels of expertise, Chris Weber & Vanilla Loft are offering an unique, intimate opportunity to attend our highly-coveted Oceankissed Hair / The Shadowing Edition - Look & Learn and Q&A workshop.
This workshop is an in-depth, eclectic and interactive “look and learn” that includes an exclusive demo, where you will observe Chris while he creates one of our Oceankissed Hair looks - from start to finish. You will take away profitable tips and tricks to help you with better understanding the unique needs of your clientele, effectively managing your time, confidently mastering new techniques, styling pointers, taking the perfect shot for Instagram and, of course, growing your social media following!

It is advised to wash hands with clean water and soap for a minimum of 20 seconds.
We ask that you arrive with only your personal device, jacket and handbag, including tablet or book. You may only bring essential items into the space and must bring any refreshments in a container with a lid when possible. Small 967 sq. ft. space. -Establishing and maintaining connections with clients, beginning with a communicative consultation process and building a “hair goal game-plan”.
-Individualizing the hair experience based on each client’s budget and lifestyle preferences.
-How to achieve multi-dimensional, brunette or high-contrast, multi-dimensional, beachy looks.
-Perfecting the “Money Piece” and personalizing face-framing highlights on a light or dark base.
-Efficiently managing your time with strategized placement.
-Creating a soft, natural-looking blend and seamless transition with a root shadow.
-Achieving effortlessly undone colors by using an array of application techniques.
-How to gain confidence working with long and thick hair.
-Utilizing warmth to your advantage and using negative space to craft high-contrast colors.
-Thinking outside of the box to create natural-looking, long-lasting colors that grow out beautifully.
-Less is more: learning how to expertly strategize in order to avoid over-highlighting.
-Maintaining the overall health and integrity of the hair, as well as tips on minimizing breakage.
-Crafting “Oceankissed” waves and finishing your looks.
-Capturing that perfect “Instagram Shot” and social media pointers.
WHAT IS THE PAYMENT PROCESS LIKE, AND DO YOU HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY?
100% of the total workshop cost is required in order to secure your enrollment in the program.
If you cancel your enrollment in the workshop for any reason, our cancellation policy is as follows:
-Notice* provided 30 days prior to workshop date: refund minus a $100.00 admin fee
-Notice* provided 14-29 days prior to shadowing date: 50% refund
-No refund within two weeks of the training date.
*Notice must be provided by sending an email to hello@vanillaloft.com only which will be confirmed by a return email from the administrative staff during our business hours.
If you are enrolled in a workshop and fail to attend, you will not receive a refund, either in part or in full.
Kindly note that - while we understand that occasionally unplanned items interfere with the schedule and that sometimes these items can't be influenced - we are not responsible for last-minute cancellations due to external factors like technical issues, family emergencies or sickness.
Is there a recording policy?
You expressly covenant that you will not record, copy, reproduce, or store any part of the workshop for any purpose without the prior express written consent of Vanilla Hair Inc. You agree to indemnify Vanilla Hair Inc. for all costs of enforcing this covenant on a solicitor and own client cost basis, including but not limited to, lost revenue from any unauthorized use.
How many stylists per Oceankissed Hair workshop at Vanilla Loft?
Kindly note that we place a high amount of importance on the exclusivity and educational focus of your workshop experience and therefore do not host more than ten stylists (max.) for this workshop experience at the same time.
What is the neighborhood like?
Vanilla Loft is nestled within the historic neighborhood of Lower Lonsdale; a vibrant home to an array of notable boutiques, cafes, restaurants and more. Between the stunning views of the Burrard Inlet from the Lonsdale Quay Market, to the unique collection of vendors within the hustle and bustle of the Shipyards District - Lower Lonsdale is an eclectic place that Vanilla Loft has the pleasure to call “home”. We will provide a personally curated list of neighborhood highlights and recommendations within your official invitation letter. Kindly note that there will be a midday break where you can feel free to step out and explore the area.
I’m flying in - what airport is closest?
YVR International Airport is the closest airport to Vanilla Loft. From YVR, it is approximately 60 minutes by car or taxi to reach us. If you are navigating your way to us via public transportation, it will take approximately 60-90 minutes on the Canada Line rapid transit system and Sea bus.
Where are you located?
Vanilla Loft is located at 127 3rd Street East, North Vancouver. We are three blocks from the Sea Bus - a foot passengers-only ferry connecting the North Shore (Lonsdale Quay) with Downtown Vancouver. Each ferry can seat up to 385 passengers at a time and departs every 15 minutes during the day.
15-minute sailings will start at 6 a.m. on weekdays, 7 a.m. on Saturdays, and 8 a.m. on Sundays and most holidays. 15-minute service will extend until 9:02 p.m. from Lonsdale Quay and 9:16 p.m. from Waterfront Station. There are two terminals: Waterfront in Downtown Vancouver, which connects with buses, Sky Train, and West Coast Express; and Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver, which connects with an extensive network of North Shore buses. Crossing time is 12 minutes.
Vanilla Loft is located 8 minutes walking distance or 6 minutes by bus (Line 228, 229 & 230) from the Sea Bus terminal. Free (1 hour to 2 hours) street parking is located directly in front of the studio. Unlimited complimentary street parking is available at 4th Street East & West.
I’m staying in the area - what are your hotel recommendations?
For accommodations in the neighborhood, we personally recommend the Pinnacle Hotel at The Pier (138 Victory Ship Way, North Vancouver) and the Seaside Hotel North Vancouver (130-125 Victory Ship Way, North Vancouver - ask us for our corporate rate).
